Night Security (10 AVL) Job at Clemson University

Performs routine security duties protecting state property and participants of residential program servicing adolescent youth ages 13-17, referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice. Staff will have flexible work schedules.

JOB DUTIES:


65% - Essential - Supervision:
Monitors residents during night hours, ensuring safety and maintaining frequent headcounts through sight and sound supervision. Supervises and/or performs sanitation procedures to ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and the general health/safety of the residents. Maintains security logs.

20% - Essential - Behavior Modification:
Modifies youth behavior by employing the therapeutic treatment and training methods of the program. Provides teaching, crisis intervention, orientation of new juveniles, and serves as a treatment team member. All other duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of the program.

15% - Essential - Safety Protocols:
Monitors safety and security procedures for the facility. Patrols the grounds, checks for fires, prowlers, vandalism or other unusual occurrences. Makes rounds of buildings. Maintains alertness and notifies authorities and appropriate staff of any emergencies and discrepancies of facilities or participants. Participates in the development of safety plans for the program.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Security experience.

No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

Standard Hrs: 40; Band: 01 ($ 15,080.00 - $ 27,710.00)
