Overview

Axle is seeking a highly ambitious, adaptable, structured, and detail-oriented Researcher to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Vaccine Research Center (VRC),

Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of tasks related to evaluating vaccine efficacy in a nonhuman primate model of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB).
  • Interact with researchers from other laboratories and institutions to implement protocols related to confocal imaging of tissues from Mtb-infected animals.
  • Interact with students, post-doctoral fellows and research technicians to provide training and standardization of imaging protocols and analysis pipelines.
  • Maintain organized and accurate, daily records of experiments and clearly communicate data to others.

Experience Required / Requirements

  • BA/BS with 2+ years’ experience
  • Minimum of 4 years laboratory experience
  • Must work well in collaborative team environment
  • Organization and written/verbal communication skills as to prepare written protocols, contribute to publications and communicate data to others
