NUTRITION SERVICES AIDE - FULL TIME - DAYS Job at Johnson Memorial Hospital
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 6am-2pm or 10am-6pm with Every Other Weekend.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transports food and supplies from the Nutrition Services Main Production Area to patient service areas throughout the hospital. Participates in patient meal assembly and delivery of meals directly to patients as assigned, in a professional and efficient manner.
Inventories and stocks unit-based pantries. Accurately maintains records of pantry stock items.
Follows established procedures for cleaning, labeling, rotating, and documenting pantry stock items.
Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans, both manually and using automated machine.
Places clean dishes, utensils and cooking equipment in proper storage areas. Gathers trash from Nutrition Production area and places in designated pickup areas. Cleans garbage cans, sweeps floors, and performs both heavy and light cleaning of Nutrition Production equipment, food service production and retail cafeteria areas. Reports any safety hazards or equipment not functioning properly to Shift Supervisor.
Performs related work tasks as assigned by Shift Supervisor, including but not limited to, assisting in basic production duties, as well as cafeteria food serving and/or cleaning.
Adheres to HACCP and ISDH sanitation standards.
Participates and promotes CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) activities.
