We are currently hiring a Manager for our expanding medical business, which has two doctors and two nurse practioners. Our offices are situated in the Westchase, Carrollwood, and Trinity neighborhoods.
As a medical office manager, you are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a medical office. The specific job requirements for a medical office manager:
1. Education and Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree may vary depending on the organization and its size, but here are some common requirement healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is often preferred, but some positions may accept an associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and insurance procedures is highly beneficial.
- Depending on the organization, additional certifications such as Certified Medical Manager (CMM) or Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) may be preferred.
2. Experience:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a managerial or administrative role, is typically required.
- Experience with medical billing, coding, and insurance claims processing is often necessary.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare software is important.
3. Leadership and Management Skills:
- Strong leadership abilities and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational skills to oversee multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and external stakeholders.

- Familiarity with healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance standards, such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
6. Technology and Systems Proficiency:
- Proficient in using various computer software, including EHR systems, medical billing software, and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to adapt to new technology and stay updated with industry trends.
7. Patient Service Orientation:
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service to patients and ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Knowledge of appointment scheduling, patient registration, and front desk operations.

Manager position is directly responsible for directing and coordinating office staff, able to multitask, manage staff scheduling and resolving staff issues. The manager should be cordial and pleasant but emphasize on discipline, punctuality and professionalism. The candidate should be dependable and make every effort to increase business revenue. The manager should conduct meetings with daily assignments in the morning and receive reports on the tasks assigned by the end of the day. The manager will work very closely with the HR and assist in hiring new staff members.
Must be able to work on weekdays from 8 am to 7 pm and must have dependable transportation to get to work.
Base Salary plus a productivity incentive based on experience, the caliber, the timeliness, and excellent working conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
