Title: Operations Engineer Eastern Shelf
Department: Operations Location: Abilene, TX and the surrounding area
Position Summary:
The Operations Engineer is responsible for overseeing the development of current and future oil & gas fields to increase production and profitability of wells on our leases.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage current waterfloods
- Plan, develop, and install future waterflood projects.
- Assist with planning and executing on drilling, completion and reentry projects.
- Completion design
- Casing Repair
- Fishing Tool
- Downhole Design
- Working with Mature fields
- LOE control
- Oversee well plugging/cement squeeze and manage plugging the required number of well each year
- Oversee downhole fishing when necessary.
- Communication with office and field staff to keep all parties informed and moving toward the same common goal
- Coordination with suppliers and subcontractors when used in regards to ongoing projects.
- Specific duties include, but are not limited to, contract administration, schedule management, preparation of spreadsheets & reports, risk management, safety, and quality control.
Job Requirements:
- In Depth knowledge of technical, administration, and management of all phases of oil & gas project management.
- Basic knowledge of safety and security issues and regulations.
- Excellent mathematical skills, including application, and use in problem solving.
- Strong coordination, time management, active listening, verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking and reasoning skills.
- Computer literacy and proficiency using MS Office
- 20 years of experience
- Engineering degree is not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
