Operations Staff is responsible for setting up and breaking down events and meetings in each of the venues throughout the Performing Arts Center.

Operations Staff is responsible for setting up and breaking down events and meetings in each of the venues throughout the Performing Arts Center.
Job Functions:
- Setup and breakdown of chairs, tables, seating, staging, risers, pipe and drape, dance floors, and other items as needed
- Help with basic AV needs as necessary
- Ensure the proper storage of Operations equipment
- Work events as needed
- Perform general labor as assigned
- Assist Operations Manager in preventing and managing facility damages

- While performing duties of this job, the employee frequently lifts and moves facility equipment, supplies and/or tools. Employee will constantly move about inside and outside various areas of the facility before/during/after events; position will require employee to frequently bend, stoop, or crouch in order to set-up, tear down or clean in various areas of the building and grounds. Employee will occasionally be required to identify or match colors/tones of furniture and other items as necessary. Employee will communicate with staff to exchange accurate information. Employee will frequently be required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Work environment:
- The duties of this position are performed indoors and occasionally outdoors in the weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is minimal to moderate during non-event days and moderate to loud during event days.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow basic instruction and direction
- Ability to comprehend and execute a room set up according to a diagram
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Must be able to work independently
- Detail oriented
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal harmoniously with guests, employees, and outside contractors
- Excellent spatial reasoning
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, exercise initiative, resourcefulness, good judgment and accept responsibility for actions
- Capable of physical tasks for extended periods of time
Requirements:
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Experience in Performing Arts preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedule based on event needs, including: nights, weekends, and holidays
