Job Summary
As the friendly face and brand ambassador of Watson’s Greenhouse and Nursery, the Outdoor Plant Sales position supports customers from the moment they walk into our store. We are proud of the high quality, high service shopping experience we offer our customers and this role is key to conveying our passion for living – garden, home and life – to everyone who visits.
Position Responsibilities
· Responsible for ensuring the health of Perennials and Annuals, including proper watering and care.
· Engage customers promptly, personally and with the goal of opening the conversation and ensuring they feel welcome.
· Merchandise and maintain Perennial and Annual inventory.
· Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers.
· Understand who our guests are, what brought them to Watson’s, their intent and timeline to purchase, creating a connection and personalized shopping experience.
· Value a proactive team-player outlook, jumping in to help your co-workers, leaving things better than how you found them.
· Other duties and projects as assigned.
Position Requirements
· Able to work collaboratively as part of a team, willing to fill in where needed.
· Willing to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
· Must be able to lift or move up to 50lbs, and push/pull racks on wheels of 100lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Ability to stand, climb, squat, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
