Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• You will conduct behavioral health & addiction treatment-focused group therapy sessions as specified on the unit/department treatment schedule.
• You will provide therapeutic interventions that are guided by the treatment/recovery plan
• You will perform psychosocial and behavioral assessments of patients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental concerns associated with the patient’s diagnosis, treatment, and/or life situation
• You will provide appropriate treatment based on the psychosocial assessments and the recommendations of the treatment team. Performs individual and family counseling, provides psycho-educational resources and facilitates group counseling.
• Provides ongoing assessment of patient throughout inpatient hospitalization (as appropriate) to ensure appropriate referrals based on status at the time of discharge.

What qualifications you will need:

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other related health field required. Must be actively working towards licensure in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related mental health field and licensure must be obtained within two years of hire
• Two (2) years’ experience required, preferably in an inpatient setting (Internship can count towards years of experience)
• Successful completion of CPI within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• BLS required every 2 years

TriStar Skyline Madison is a mental health facility. We provide behavioral health services to the greater Nashville area. Our psychiatrists, therapists, and nurses are dedicated to improving the lives of our patients. The 120 bed facility offers comprehensive treatment programs. These are designed for personalized care. They offer a variety of options including inpatient, partial hospitalization and outpatient care. Our behavioral health navigator works with patients and their loved ones to find the right plan.
