Overview

The Giorgi Companies, Inc. (“TGCI”) is a diversified consumer products company with approximately 2,500

employees. Can Corporation of America (CCA), a subsidiary of TGCI and a leader in the manufacturing of 3-piece

food cans is seeking a highly motivated hands-on individual who will play a major role in driving business retention

& development initiatives. This role must successfully build strong relationships across all lines of business and

functional departments within CCA as well as with strategic customers.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Identifies new opportunities through following leads from existing clients, attending trade shows and conferences, researching online and cold calling
  • Responds to customer inquiries/information needs and provides positive, courteous service to customers, answers questions regarding current and future needs, prices, delivery times, warranty periods, customer service and credit/financial arrangements
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with customers and key accounts, industry influencers, and key partners
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, working with plant personnel, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational events, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks
  • Updates management by submitting activity reports, such as call & trip reports
  • Travels approximately 50% of the time

Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field (Preferred)

Experience: 3-5 years

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

  • Strong communication skills: oral, written, presentation and interpersonal
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Results driven, able to focus on organizational growth and performance
  • Proficient computer skills to include all Microsoft Products
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Prior food industry experience (preferred)
