JOB TITLE:

Washakie Dining Cook

JOB PURPOSE:

To assist preparing/serving/cleaning at Washakie Dining Hall

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting Washakie culinary team in prepping or making menu items from the set menu.
• Follow recipe given by the chef/s to produce quality product.
• Label food accurately to serve on the stations and or store in the cooler.
• Set-up salad bar accordingly to Washakie standard set by the chef.
• Set-up yogurt bar with yogurt and fruits including processing fresh fruits.
• Help set-up service line with food, utensils, and plates. Have a backup of all to replenish the line.
• Help in serving food to the students on service line.
• Clean and sanitize the work area before and after use.
• Clean and sanitize the serving station after the meal service.
• Customer service skill. Knowledge of cashier station.
• Knowledge of Dish room and safe chemical use.
• Proficient knowledge of the eight common allergens.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures of all stations.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 35lbs, work around cooking and cleaning equipment.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to work minimum of 32 hours a week. Washakie week is Sunday thru Saturday
• Able to work with set Washakie work schedule.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience dealing with people, food and/or cleaning
