TSI is looking for a Peer Advocate Specialist to join our Crisis Respite located in our Queens Village, NY location. This position will report into the Program Director of Mieles Respite.

Hourly Salary $20.50 per hour
Position Summary
Provide support, encouragement and assistance to mental health consumers. Promote those activities that foster recovery and empowerment by sharing their personal experiences, when appropriate, modeling self-help and wellness activities.

Experience/Education/Skills/Abilities
  • High School diploma or a combination of education and relevant experience to total four years and graduate of a Peer Advocate training program.
  • Minimum qualifications may be waived in unusual circumstances with approval of the CEO as long as City and State requirements are met.
