JOB TITLE: Personal Trainer
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-Exempt
PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: To Be Determined
POSITION SUMMARY: The Personal Trainer will ensure a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes wellness and engagement for both the people we serve in the community and our staff. Maintains cleanliness and neatness of the facility. Has knowledge of all training equipment and ensures they are in the proper working condition.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education, Training & Experience:
1+ years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry and strong knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
Valid fitness certification / personal trainer certification from one of the following: ACSM; ACE; NASM; NCSA; AFFA; or NFPT
Valid CPR/AED Certification
Preferred Education, Training & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in an exercise related field
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to safely lift and move up to 40lbs
Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels
Ability to multi-task and stay organized
Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
