We are looking for a Dog Bather to Join Our Pack at Deer Creek Animal Hospital!
Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 hourly
Core Responsibilities:
- Supports Mission, Vision and Values of Destination Pet.
- Performs bath functions as requested by the client and described on the groom card.
- Trims nails, brushes teeth, and cleans ears in a safe manner and as trained.
- Bathe, dry and brush out as instructed and in compliance with store grooming procedures.
- Follow all safety rules.
- Clean and disinfect bathing station, tools, tubs, cages between pets and at end of each shift.
- Keep the receptionist informed about pets that are ready for pick-up.
- Additional duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Expertise & Experience:
- Must be a pet fanatic – pets are part of our family!
- Professional animal care/kennel experience preferred.
- Displays a professional manner at all times
Physical:
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must frequently lift 40 pounds.
- Must be able to be on feet eight hours per day.
- Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
- Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.
