Glens Fall Hospital looking for a talented and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient physical therapy team at our Main Street and Queensbury facilities! As a PTA, you will work collaboratively with a team of licensed physical therapists to provide care for our patients and help them to achieve their rehabilitation goals. Team Impact
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with an expansive patient population and gain valuable patient facing experience while helping to provide direct rehabilitative care. You will be responsible for tasks such as assisting with patient assessments, treatment plans, and helping to implement therapeutic interventions established by a primary physical therapist. You can be successful in this role by serving a team player, as well as maintaining a firm commitment to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. Some highlights about this opportunity include:
- Full time position with working hours between 9:00am-5:30pm.
- Part time position is also available with working hours between 8:00am-4:00pm
- No evening or overnight requirements!
- This position offers flexible scheduling in accordance with per-diem requirements/departmental needs
- On-the-job training is available with the commitment to grow with the team and gain the know and experience to be successful.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Responsibilities
- Provide direct Physical Therapy to patients according to an evaluation and treatment plan established by a primary physical therapist.
- Monitor and modify the treatment plan and goals as indicated by treatment response.
- Provide information/guidance to patient and families regarding their condition/treatment in conjunction with other team members.
- Effectively document and communicate treatment progress.
- Adjust treatment/goals after consultation with the Physical Therapist
Qualifications/Experience
Education/Accredited Programs
- Associate degree or higher in physical therapy from a NYS Department of Education accredited program or APTA accredited program
Experience/Abilities
- Hands on, patient facing experience preferred
- Direct experience or shadowing experience as a PTA preferred
- New graduates are encouraged to apply!
Licenses/Certificates/Registrations:
- New York State license as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Valid driver’s license
- Current CPR
