Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking an experienced Physician Recruiter to join our team of Talent Acquisition professionals. The Physician Recruiter is responsible for collaborating with Physician and Executive leadership to identify, attract, recruit and hire physicians for Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. Our high-performing provider recruitment team specializes in creating strong business partnerships within the organization and actively contributes to the success of recruitment within the system. Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is a leader in primary and specialty care within Central PA and has a network of more than 350 primary care and specialty care physicians and over 200 advanced practice practitioners.
This Physician Recruiter conducts intake sessions to fully understand the details of the open positions, develops sourcing strategies, screen and interview viable candidates, and collaborate with business partners to draft offers/contracts for finalists. The Physician Recruiter will also be responsible for ensuring the best candidate experience through the interview, offer, and onboarding processes. This is a hybrid role that will require occasional on-site presence for team meetings and candidate interview day support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Have extensive knowledge and experience with full-cycle recruitment processes.
- Work closely with the managing physician/practice manager to ensure alignment for opening and candidate pool.
- Source candidates utilizing a variety of venues to include: internet, social media, career fairs, list services, medical associations, residency/fellowship programs or agencies.
- Work with Talent Acquisition Coordinators to organize interview for selected candidates to ensure that each candidate will receive an excellent first impression of LG Health and the community.
- Negotiation of offer, including total compensation package, Letter of Intent and Employment Agreement and tracking receipt of all documents.
- Initiation on-boarding of each new hire, including relocation (when applicable), medical staff credentialing process, risk management, and payer credentialing.
- Maintain collaborative relationship with Compensation and Benefits Departments to ensure competitive positioning in the marketplace.
- Tracking and reporting distribution of recruitment status and activities Organize and proactively track candidates for future openings.
Our Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three years of experience in healthcare recruitment, preferably 1-2 years of provider/physician recruitment.
- Must possess excellent interview, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have the ability to plan, prioritize, organize and project workload.
