HERFF JONES, Janitor (Part-Time)

Location: 2525 Midpoint Dr, Edwardsville, KS 66111

Hours: Part-Time 2nd Shift (4pm-8pm Monday-Friday)

YOUR OPPORTUNITY:
The Herff Jones Operations team, based in Edwardsville, KS is looking for a Janitor to join our team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO ON A DAILY BASIS:

• Keeps building clean and orderly condition.
• Clean restroom sinks, vanity tops, toilets, urinals and floors daily.
• Replace toilet tissue, hand towels, hand soap and air fresheners in restrooms, when empty.
• Dust mop tile floor in lobby, including breeze way, employee entrances, Customer Service, cafeteria and production daily.
• Wet mop as needed.
• Vacuum carpets in Customer Service, Order Center, meeting rooms and offices daily.
• Clean windows in Lobby, Order Center, meeting rooms, lunchroom and offices when needed.
• Empty trash and recycling containers daily in all areas, including lunch room and patio area.
• Clean lunchroom countertops, tables, microwaves and sink daily.
• Remove expired food from lunchroom refrigerator weekly.
• Fill napkin dispensers, stock condiments and plastic eating utensils, as needed.
• Clean grout in restrooms, office and lobby every 6 months
• Buff and wax employee entrance, production and lunchroom tile floors every 6 months.
• Replace light bulbs when needed.
• Perform routine maintenance plumbing activities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Less than high school education
• 1 month related janitorial experience or training
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Talk or hear
• Climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
