A Brief Overview
Wellpower screeners conduct biometric screenings, which include obtaining height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, and pulse rate measurements as well as nicotine test results. Screeners document all biometric values and nicotine test results obtained from screenings in the inHealth system and provide limited information about the nicotine cessation program and wellpower rewards.

Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma GED also accepted. Preferred

Experience Qualifications
  • Prior training on taking blood pressure. Preferred

What you will do
  • Verify patient identity.
  • Deliver nicotine test and document results in the inHealth system. Provide information about the tobacco/nicotine cessation program if participant tests positive for nicotine.
  • Complete biometric screening (height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure and pulse rate) and document values in the inHealth system.
  • Provide information, limited to what is on the screener training script, on how participants can earn rewards not earned at the time of screening.
  • Understand participant HIPPA rights and practice the highest level of confidentiality for participant information.
  • Assumes responsibility for participant safety by utilizing proper channels to communicate safety and participant care issues to appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain smooth and efficient flow of participants throughout the screening process so that the wellpower team can remain on schedule.
  • Apply proper hand hygiene techniques, instrument handling and care, and cleaning/sanitizing of workstation.
  • Understand and practice proper use of personal protective equipment.
