Our innovative, private Early Childhood Learning Center in Ridgewood, NJ is seeking a full-time, year-round Preschool Co-Teacher I who is ready to take that next step.

The successful candidate will be a key part of a classroom team delivering a hands-on, discovery centers/play-based program, along with a mix of small-group and individualized instruction focused upon whole-language, math, science, the arts and project-based learning--as well as social and physical development.

You'll need to have previous experience working with groups of preschoolers (ages 3-4 and/or 2-3)--- could be as a preschool teacher, student teacher, summer camp counselor, part-timer or assistant teacher at a preschool--- and be eager to be part of a talented teaching team who provide both great learning opportunities and patient, loving care for each of our students each and every day.

A positive classroom management approach and passion for teaching active children from 3-4-year olds and/or 2-3 year-olds are essential (the typical behaviors of these age groups give you a chuckle, not a headache). Must be able to lift children and change diapers.

As many of our best co-teachers become head teachers with us, candidates who have completed EITHER a full, four-year BA/BS degree program, or an AA/AS degree program with outstanding professional experience will be considered--although your degree need not specifically be in early childhood education, as we provide on-going professional development opportunities.

You’ll need to be available to work a regular, full-time, year-round Monday-Friday schedule.
