Principal System Administrators, internally known as Principal Analyst, Infrastructure Workplace Services, collaborate with a diverse team to support fast-paced, critical programs with unclassified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you are able to develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various unclassified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Knowledge and skills regarding System & Service integration to include, but not limited to, authentication protocols, patch management, network segregation, and vulnerability management.
  • Experience in multiple operating systems and hardware platforms to include OT (Operational Technology).
  • Working in a collaborative, multi cross functional team environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical and environmental issues within Engineering and Factory spaces.
  • Work with the Cyber & Compliance Teams to maintain RTX standards and DFARS requirements which includes assessments, implementation steps, and ensuring the integrity of the security authorization package.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
  • Position is hybrid, and onsite work will be primarily based in Tewksbury MA but will require travel to Marlboro, MA monthly. Frequency to Marlboro at 20% on average each month. Role is relocation eligible if selected applicant meets company policy requirement. Must be located a commutable distance to Tewksbury, and reasonable travel to Marlborough, MA.
  • Travel to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of direct system experience or a master’s degree and 3 years of directly related experience or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree 9 years of direct experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • 5+ years of System experience with some but not limited to, the following technologies: Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Veeam, AWS, MySQL, Remote Desktop Gateway, and Netwrix, prior systems administration and networking administration experience, Windows or Linux administration, Windows administration, or Mac OS experience, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.

Qualifications We Value:

  • An active DoD Secret or TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance or prior SCI/program eligibility
  • Experience in Server architectures and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification.
  • Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
  • Working experience in Multiple Operating Systems.
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
  • Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange.
  • High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
  • Scripting Experience.
