The Pro Shop Assistant is responsible for efficiently attending to the golfers needs by booking tee times via phone or in person, processing their purchases, confirming their tee times, and providing information with regard to upcoming events on the schedule.

Schedule: Must be available to work at least three shifts a week and have weekend availability

The Pro Shop Assistant is responsible for efficiently attending to the golfers needs by booking tee times via phone or in person, processing their purchases, confirming their tee times, and providing information with regard to upcoming events on the schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately schedules tee times for members, residents, and outside guests
• Greets customers when they enter the Golf Pro Shop and bids them a fond farewell when they leave, consistently providing service With a Smile
• Maintains accuracy in ringing up purchases using proper SKU numbers, collecting money, and running credit card transactions
• Maintains knowledge of events going on and information on registration for future events
• Possess basic computer skills
• May be assigned to work both outdoor or inside activities and events
• Reconciles cash register daily
• Takes tee times in accordance with company practices (no preferred customers or saved tee times)
• Ensures all guests are treated fairly and without favoritism
• Does not accept gifts or cash (including tips) other than for goods being purchased
• Answers the phone with a friendly voice
• Assists the professional staff with events and tournaments
• Does not hold keys or other personal property for residents
• Keeps Pro Shop neat and clean at all times
• Restocks and displays stock items
• Assists the Starter/Ranger/Cart Attendants and fills in to provide coverage as needed
• Performs all duties in adherence to OTOW standards
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Customer service and sales experience preferred
• Experience using a cash register and credit card machine required
• Computer Skills are required

Skills and Knowledge:

• Must be able to read, write and understand English
• Strong Communication skills both verbal and written
• Knowledge of the game of golf
• Excellent customer service sills
• Ability to accurately count money and change
• Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment
