Pay Grade: Specialist 6
This position oversees and participates in the administration of written tests and performance tests.

- Transports highly confidential test materials from one location to another
- Oversees the work of Examination Proctors during the administration of examinations
- Reads standard instructions to candidates
- Monitors test rooms during the administration of examinations
- Enforces time limits and compliance with other examination procedures
- Explains and answers questions concerning examination procedures and related matters
Distributes examination materials to candidates
Collects, checks, and counts examination materials
Checks candidates' identification
Reports rule violations and/or unusual occurrences during examinations
Prepares proctor's report
Notifies appropriate personnel when test equipment malfunctions occur
Inputs data in exam databases
Checks licenses, certificates, and other forms for verification of qualifications
Serves as a receptionist at performance tests
Performs general clerical support duties such as answering phones, processing correspondence, maintaining files, and distributing mail
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
Ability to exhibit strong interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Intermediate skills with MS Office Suite with the ability to create tables, charts and graphs in Excel Proficient in office equipment (scanners, printers, phones) and computer technology
Demonstrates good organizational skills and ability to maintain records accurately
Ability to critically think and perform normal duties with minimal supervision
Ability to work in a high-traffic, fast paced office setting and testing environment
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently
Ability to work independently, be self-directed and task oriented
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years working in an office environment
Preferred Requirements:
Associate’s Degree
Prior educator experience
One year experience in test administrator or proctor
