Summary:

We are seeking a college Intern to join our Supply Chain team at our corporate office in Raleigh, NC. This exciting internship opportunity is part of a growing team which includes buyers, category managers, business analytics, and other key business functions.

The role will provide an opportunity to contribute towards key projects and analysis that are important to our business. Contributions include coordination of small projects, leading project tasks, documenting processes, providing spend & category analysis, negotiating contracts and supporting efforts to build and maintain supply chain processes, systems, and data. Subject matter experts will provide guidance to help resolve complex problems.

Your Contributions could include:

• Support department leaders and work with teams to drive projects to completion.
• Lead small projects focused on process development, improvement, root cause analysis, and other problem-solving needs to improve overall Procure to Pay (P2P), and contracts negotiation process.
• Identify best practices, define and document processes, and develop solutions to challenges.
• Implement process improvements, innovative solutions, and policy changes that drive advancements for the company.
• Conduct quantitative data analysis and interpretation on companywide spend, and categories to inform improvement priorities and guide business decisions.
• Perform all activities in accordance with the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values, and in compliance with the Company’s policies, procedures and Code of Ethical Business Conduct.

Your Development:

• Build familiarity with and practice of Procure to Pay (P2P) process, Supplier Contract Negotiations, Category Management, process improvement methods, analytics, and team collaboration
• Hands-on procurement, project management, organization, communication, and presentation skills
• Improved leadership and networking
• Increase proficiency with MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint and Project Management tools
• Navigate stakeholder groups and learn situational leadership techniques to build effective relationships
• Improve communication styles with different groups from Operations to Business Leaders and Executives.

Your Qualifications and Skills:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business administration, supply chain or related field
• Good knowledge of MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Word.
• Familiarity with Tableau preferred
• Awareness of project management tools
• Motivated self-starter with ability to research and learn independently
• Experience with data analysis and ability to work with data and drive valuable insights to make recommendations, and sound business decisions
• Good presentation skills with the ability to create high quality visuals
• Analytical critical thinker who is well organized and detail oriented with ability to manage tasks and timelines
• Good written and verbal communication skills – ability to clearly articulate ideas and messages
• Able to think on your feet and brainstorm fresh ideas while keeping up with the fast-paced nature of today’s global supply chain
