The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ordering all of the materials for our high volume retail division so that jobs are completed on time and at or below budget. The ideal candidate for this position is detail oriented, methodical, has excellent computer skills, works comfortably with office personnel and technicians, and does not mind being hands on when necessary.
No experience in glass or purchasing is necessary, but will be considered in the hiring process.

Specific Responsibilities:
Ordering: - Maintain a working technical knowledge of the goods or services to be purchased - Locate and order parts and supplies, including special order parts - Order parts and supplies so that adequate inventory is available for stocking trucks - Ensure parts are available and ordered for work orders scheduled for install the same or the next day - Check in all deliveries – ensure the correct part was delivered and visually inspect for quality and any damage
Warranties: - Parts returns – immediately return unused parts, ensure credit is given for each returned item - Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action
Inventory Maintenance: - Receive, store and issue supplies and tools, and compile an organized stock - Manage inventories of parts and supplies including main shop and all sheds - Monitor orders to make sure that inventory is being used before new parts/supplies are ordered
Vendors:
- Research and evaluate suppliers on part availability, delivery time, quality, etc.
- Maintain vendor relationships
