Role Overview

We are looking for:

  • A Product Architect who will play a crucial role in our digital transformation journey, specifically in the areas of Sustainability, Digital Innovation, and New Business Models.
  • As a key partner to the team, you will support the Product Managers and their respective squads while identifying how they connect with each other and the bigger picture of the Group.

  • Proactively and holistically lead or support Architecture activities within our Connected Research Journey and Prepare The Future domain, encompassing several product groups (new business model working on new digital services to serve our customers and sustainability, supporting our One Solvay Planet agenda).
  • You will contribute to decisions about which technologies to invest in, assist in developing a vision and roadmap to execute current and future company goals and objectives and provide leadership, analysis, and design tasks related to product development.
  • You will work closely with DevOps/Development teams and suppliers to ensure the value planned is delivered in the most optimal way, according to the product strategy and overall value-for-money objectives linked to the technology strategy.

You will bring:

  • Experience in a high-growth environment, startups, and changing situations, along with strong experience and understanding of technologies related to laboratories.
  • Experience in Sustainability topics such as product carbon footprint and extra-financial reporting, B2B2C or B2C interactions, and digital product management with Agile methodologies (PI Planning, Agile delivery, etc.) is recommended.

Key Outputs:

  • Architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution development
  • Deliver the architectural design for capabilities within your product group stack(s)
  • Lead the implementation and integration of technical architecture across a product group
  • Provide consulting support to application architects within (and across) product groups
  • Define guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to ensure product-based decisions align with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision
  • Design and direct the governance activities associated with ensuring product architecture assurance and compliance
  • Ensure compliance of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployments (CI/CD) Solutions within Enterprise Architecture integration Standards, customer project requirements, and operational quality levels
  • Develop integration processes and interface requirements

Key Stakeholder Interactions:

  • Works with squads from product groups to ensure the correct implementation of solution architecture
  • Works with Product Managers to provide enterprise solutions to specific business problems and issues across many domains
  • Collaborates within the architecture Chapter (Enterprise architects, Product architects from other domains beyond Digital Employee Journey, Platform architects) to ensure their solutions align with target architectures and technology roadmaps

You will get:

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $105,000 to $160,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations.
