Purpose of the Job:

Support Production with training new and current operators, as well as being able to fill in as Gatekeeper or Chief Tech when needed

Key Responsibilities:

Training

· Be up-to-date with BCTG directives, Site SOPs, Checklists

· Ensure new operators receive appropriate technical and practical training in their first 3 months into the Company;

· Provide practical training for production team according to standard plan + as requested on demand by Prod. Supervisor.

· Comply with site training agenda

HSE

· Participate in 2 Leadership Gembas per year

· Do at least 1 BBS Observation and/or 1 Hazard/NM Report per month

· Keep up with Housekeeping standards and assignments

Maintenance

· Open notifications for maintenance work in SAP according to current template.

· Help coordinate and lead shutdowns in the field to minimize downtime

Reliability

· Follow up on OEE losses related to operational reliability and define/adjust training plan accordingly

· Share in RCPS meetings as required

Meetings

· Participate once a week in the Brine VM Meeting;

· Participate daily in the Chlorate VM Meeting

· Share in Production Weekly Meeting

· Share in other regular meetings (Trips, Leaks, Reliability, Toolbox, etc) as required

Communication

· Escalate issues to management that require immediate attention (incidents, inadequate behaviors, process conditions) and make sure team does the same when required.

Perform other duties, as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

· Ability to read/write/analyze/interpret technical information related to the plant design and operation.

· Experience of five (5) years or more industry-related experience in Chemical Plant Production.

· This job requires capability to work in a chemical manufacturing setting with rotating, stationary, and high voltage equipment, ability to climb multiple levels, work in/outdoors, various noise environments, and lift up to 50 lbs. The employee must possess the knowledge necessary to work and direct work of others safely.

· This position may require individual to comply with Nouryon RBPS 12 Corporate CFATS Personnel Surety Compliance Policy for Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards, depending on the work area or activities within the plant.
