The following challenges await you:
- Heat quartz solid on a lathe and “weld” (butt) the ends together to form a handle. This is not traditional MIG/TIG welding.
- Load lathe with preform, align preform with handle, heat quartz preform to weld handle on preform.
- Flame-tip preforms per customer specifications.
- Stress-test butted handles.
- Inspect handles; identify short or bad handles.
- Load/unload annealing ovens.
- Enter data on computer.
- Laser scribe handles.
- Cut, Cone, and clean Preforms.
Your Profile:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- SPIRIT - Strong work ethic, Positive outlook, Integrity, Reliable, Into the details and a Team player
- Unwavering commitment to Safety, People First, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts.
- High energy and robust work ethic
- Well-organized and self-directed
- An articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization
- Basic math skills
- Computer-literate
- Basic data entry skills
- Able to work 12 hour shifts / 2 on 2 off - 2 on 2 off - 3 on 3 off / 5:50pm to 6am
