The Connection, Inc. has an immediate opening for a full-time Program Associate to join our team.

The Connection is a growing 501c3 that assists individuals with intellectual disabilities continue their journey to independence after High School. We are looking for a motivated individual to embrace making an impact on the lives of this underserved community in Calvert County. The Program Associate will be responsible for assisting individuals with intellectual disabilities continue to learn the necessary social, life and job skills to further their goals towards independence.

Requirements:

• You must be able to use the curriculum and develop lessons according to the needs of the participants.

• You must be able to prepare lesson materials, evaluate and give feedback to participants.

• You must be able to measure participant’s progress and accomplishments toward their goals.

• You must be able to always provide a safe and respectful environment for all participants.

• You must be able to work with Executive Director to develop new programs to enrich our current programs.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Associates Degree and/or equivalent work experience

• Proven work experience working with the special needs community.

• Highly developed oral and written communication skills.

• CPR and First Aid certified preferred.

Additional

• All employees are required to pass a pre-employment background investigation.

• Hybrid position - Hours: In office Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm; Friday remote

Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• No nights
• No weekends

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
