Job Title: Program Specialist

Position Description: This is a supervisory position that involves coming into the homes of adults with intellectual disabilities and supervising the House Managers who oversee the Direct Support Counselors. The House Manager and Direct Support Counselors provide daily supportive services in coordination with individual support plans (ISPs). This position assists the homes with maintaining compliance with all state regulations and coordinates with outside client teams’ members to create and update client’s individual support plans. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for managing multiple homes, the client(s) who reside there, and the employees that work there.

Responsibilities of the job include:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all applicable regulations
  • Complete monthly/quarterly notes for all clients and send to the designated team members (SCs, behavior specialists, family members, etc.)
  • Attend ISP meetings/critical revisions/SC monitors/SIS for clients
  • Coordinate with house managers to ensure that all daily notes are being filed timely and appropriately
  • Supervise House Managers and ensure their duties are being fulfilled appropriately
  • Create and implement SEEPs and RPPs
  • Attend and assist with state inspections
  • Perform regular visits with all clients, at least once per month, to monitor progress and continued program satisfaction
  • Cooperating with training department to ensure all trainings are current for individual-specific trainings
  • Fill in for vacant House Manager positions when necessary
  • Compile monthly summaries of completed tasks to communicate to Program Director
  • Collaborate with SCs in regards to client services, including day programs, medication regimes, reportable incidents, appointment lists, outcomes, etc.
  • Tailor in-house day programs, when applicable, to meet each individual’s unique needs
  • Other tasks as necessary

All required trainings will be provided with no cost to the employee.

Requirements

Must be 18 or older, have a GED or high school diploma, possess a valid driver’s license, and can pass a background check.

Must meet one of the following groups of qualifications:

  • A master’s degree or above from an accredited college or university and 1 year of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism
  • An associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism.

Additional requirements include:

Knowledge of 6400 regulations, proficient organizational skills, proficient computer skills, and be self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines.

Must be able and willing to be contacted by phone 24/7.

CPR certification is a plus, but not required to be considered for employment.
