Team up with Marine Services Operation (MSO) as we keep the most powerful Navy the world has known afloat and ready to serve.
The selected Project Management Analyst 2 candidate will support MSO, working closely with our skilled trades teams and project management on a number of shipboard alterations and installations in the accomplishment of fleet modernization.
Selected candidate will be required to travel to shipyards and military bases located around the country and abroad when not assigned to a local task. Per Diem provided based on location when on travel. Travel and lodging expenses are covered by the company.
What You Will Do
- Display high levels of quality, integrity, safety, respect, engagement, and performance consistent with company values.
- Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects.
- Serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Review status of projects and budgets.
- Schedule, report and brief customers and senior management.
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Build complex spreadsheets and manipulate large quantities of data for reporting.
- Provide project management services to support the customer in establishing and maintaining an optimal environment for support services. This includes managing special projects, developing cost estimates, evaluating bid proposals and preparing statements of work for shipboard projects.
- Provide customer leadership with daily and weekly status updates of ongoing projects to include project changes, delays, impacts, current status and projections.
- Offer alternative solutions to meet mission needs when requirements are unattainable.
- Plan and organize in complex, fast-paced environments.
What You Must Have
0 years experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
- Must be able to plan and estimate incoming requests for bids.
- Must be proficient in the use of PCs and fluent in all MS Office applications.
- Must be able to interface and communicate (written and oral) effectively with employees, customers, and management.
- Must be results-oriented, self-motivated, team player, positive attitude and enthusiastic.
- Must be able to follow/enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance and maintain clearance level throughout employment.
- Must be able to obtain base access credentials within 60 days of start date and maintain credentials throughout employment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Bonus
- Candidates who have graduated from and/or completed a vocational school, apprenticeship program or a skilled trades certificate program are preferred.
- Candidate with OSHA 10 Maritime Certification are preferred.
- Project/Task planning experience is preferred.
- Candidates with Shipyard/Shipboard experience are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with QA Workbook and Technical Documentation highly preferred.
