Your Role

EMD Electronics i n Allentown, PA is seeking a Project Manager. As a Project Manager in Delivery Systems and Services (DS&S), you will play a crucial role in actively driving our strong business growth through the execution of high priority projects in collaboration with multiple DS&S disciplines such as Engineering, Commercial, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Quality.

In this role you will drive continuous improvements, optimize our supply network, and manage process improvements throughout the DS&S business. Based on your expertise and a solid understanding of semiconductor customers, you will lead interdisciplinary project stakeholders to achieve our quality and growth targets.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments
• Ensure that project deliverables are met by external and internal team members
• Identify and communicate to team those critical areas that have the potential of delaying timelines if milestones not met
• Identify and communicate to team when scope of work changes are identified
• Coordinate the interaction with internal departments in the areas of Engineering, Commercial, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Quality
• Prepare management reports to report on client satisfaction, success of prior projects in terms of resource allocation, project profitability, and gap analyses for continuous improvement
• Provide input on prospective contracts for ability to meet deliverables based on projected resource utilization
• Drive accountability for project tasks with stakeholders at all levels
• Aide in building and developing project management standards and tools specific to the DS&S Business Unit that are used in the larger organization.

This role may include travel up to 25%.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED

• 5+ years of experience in product and/or project management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or other technical degree

• CAPM or PMP® certification
• Semiconductor market knowledge
• Proficient use of SAP or ERP\MRP tools
• Proficient use of MS Project and Accolade or equivalent for stages and gates process
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional environment
• Ability to interact with stakeholders across hierarchies in a matrix organization
• Highly structured working style
• Sense of urgency
• Independence, assertiveness, and ability to make decisions quickly and confidently, with skills for people interaction and cross functional teamwork across departments and locations worldwide and with external customers
• Planning and scheduling, Problem Solving Skills including root cause analysis, Project Management, Time Management
• Strong negotiation and delegation skills - able to influence without direct authority to achieve desired outcomes
