Role Summary:

As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the processing, implementation, tracking, and expediting of all purchase orders issued by IPT to vendors to fulfill received customer contracts. You will facilitate all phases of purchase order administration and be the process owner on purchase order matters, including flow-downs to vendors, vendor capabilities and compliance, and purchase order performance satisfaction. A successful Purchasing Specialist is detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and excellent communication who can effectively operate in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Accurately create, send, and track performance of all assigned purchase orders
  • Collaborate with both internal and external customers to effectively execute POs
  • Manage contract-to purchase order flow downs, including government regulations
  • Take action when deliveries are not on track
  • Partner with other business groups to make business decisions on PO requirements
  • Administrative duties and support to the organization as needed

Requirements:

  • Prior contracts purchasing experience in an AS9120 or ISO 9001 organization highly desired
  • Previous exposure to FAR, DFAR, ITAR, and other government requirements
  • Professional level verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail is required
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Driven to see tasks and projects to completion
  • 2+ years of contracts experience a plus

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
