Quality Engineer Job at The Headhunters, LLC
The Headhunters have once again been engaged by a publicly traded manufacturer to recruit for their Kansas division. We are specifically looking for a 2+ year Quality Engineer looking to lead continuous improvement activities for a plant with more than 150 employees. Experience directing corrective actions, root cause analysis, and data mining/analytics are desired. This is a hands-on job and is expected to be performed in person at the plant location. Expect minimal periodic travel of 5% for visits to other plants or training. The compensation range is wide depending on experience with an $85k-105k base, plus an annual bonus and generous benefits. Relocation assistance and package are offered for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Implement Lean and Quality processes and procedures to enhance the plant's performance
- Use data and metrics for identifying improvement opportunities
- Build relationships with teammates, suppliers, and customers to establish a lean culture that drives improvements in Quality and Financial performance.
- Implement and sustain process documentation system
- Implement ‘built-in quality’ or ‘quality at the source’ through interactions with teammates, suppliers, customers, and quality representatives using formalized problem-solving tools, like 8D, Ishikawa diagrams, 5-Whys, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, Engineering discipline a plus
- 2+ years experience in Continuous Improvement or Quality Engineering role
- Six Sigma/Lean certifications a plus
- Clear communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization from the shop floor to the executive leadership team
- Technology skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and ERP systems

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
