Job Summary: Position is accountable for recruiting all positions utilizing all available resources. This includes, but is not limited to coordinating job fairs, managing recruiting partners, posting job openings internally and externally, screening applicants, extending offers, scheduling and coordinating the on-boarding process, and also focusing on retention strategies.

Essential Duties:

1. Screens, selects and schedules interviews for all Clerical/Technical/General Labor positions supporting Processing Operations and Live Production.

2. Places ads for openings. Registers all open positions that recruit external candidates w/ Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

3. Interviewing candidates.

4. Schedules and participates in college and local recruiting fairs.

5. Leads and participates in onboarding of new employees, including conducting orientations.

6. Supports company retention strategies.

7. Verifies all paperwork for employees in the General Labor/Clerical/Technical categories.

8. Assist with employee appreciation functions such as lunches, picnics, and service awards.

9. Interact with various departments to take care of staffing needs; including forwarding applications to appropriate department for review, scheduling interviews, fitness for duty physicals, etc.

10. Explains employee handbook policies and procedures when necessary.

11. Tracks metrics for hourly recruiting, and other data needed for reporting job related metrics.

12. Perform related duties as required.

Job Specifications:

Requires knowledge of, or ability to learn, company policies and procedures. Additionally, requires knowledge of employment laws and administrative office functions.

Skills And Abilities:

Working knowledge of office software such as Microsoft Office suite, Applicant Tracking Systems, keyboarding and spreadsheets. UKG Dimensions/UltiPro experience is a plus.

Ability to remain current on Human Resources and company issues.

Strong customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to guide and train new hires.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.

Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and manage multiple priorities. Must have a sense of urgency.

Previous HR experience with a recruiting emphasis. Associates degree or 3-5 years’ experience in the field of Human Resources.

Previous experience with employment procedures, HRIS, HR issues and policies, and experience with poultry or agricultural operations is extremely helpful.
