Key is seeking a full time (32-40 hours per week) Registered Nurse to split their time between two DCF adolescent residential programs in Methuen and one DCF residential program in Worcester. Each program serves up to nine (9) youth. The work schedule is Monday – Friday with a half hour lunch break and offers a flexible start and end time (for example: 7:30am – 4pm; 8:30am – 5pm; 9:30am – 6pm; or 10:30am – 7pm). A weekend day shift may be considered.

What the RN brings:
The Nurse Monitor position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) with two years' RN experience. All candidates must be 21 years of age or older; have a valid state driver's license; and, have a legally registered and insured car for work use. Applicants should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. If the candidate is not currently a MAP Approved Trainer, training will be provided.
- Observing all MAP Certified staff prepare and administer medication in a manner consistent with all MAP policies, procedures and protocols
- Verifying HCP orders are current, properly transcribed, and are being administered accordingly
- Verifying that medication is properly procured, counted and stored
- Reviewing documentation of medications being administered at the site to ensure that proper clinical protocols are in place and are being observed
- Ensures submission and follow-up of Medication Occurrence Reports and determine areas where further training or other intervention may be needed
- Communicates with State MAP Coordinators regarding findings relative to Technical Assistance reviews/audits performed at the site
- Works collaboratively with program supervisory staff to identify and address, individually and collectively, medication administration related remedial training needs for certified staff.
- Provide education to staff on clients’ medical diagnosis and treatment protocols
