Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. The Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit provides competent and quality intermediate care to patients who are hemodynamically stable and require continuous cardiac monitoring. The unit is designed for patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring, or frequent assessments and interventions, which cannot be provided on the general Medical/Surgical Unit. Our highly trained and professional staff provides care for a wide variety of patients recovering from serious illness including but not limited to cardiology, oncology, neurology, and surgical patients. Medication and treatments are provided in a warm and caring environment that facilitates swift recovery.

As the Registered Nurse at Pali Momi, you would have the opportunity to provide professional and compassionate nursing services through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of patient care. You would also function as an associate to a charge nurse and begin to assume charge nurse responsibilities with time. We are looking for an individual with excellent patient care and communication skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. One (1) year recent acute care Registered Nurse experience in Telemetry.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field. Current American Heart Association Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) CPR cards. Two (2) years recent Registered Nurse experience in Telemetry.
