JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Distribution Center Fulfillment Manager

Department: Retail

Reports to: Retail Merchandise Buyer

Classification: Year-Round Full Time

FLSA: Exempt

General Purpose:

Essential Functions:

• Oversee all warehouse functions, including but not limited to ordering, product set up, receipt, tagging, distribution and invoice reconciliation for hardgoods line of business for Hardgoods products at Hoback Sports.
• Receive, tag and code invoices
• Maintain a clean and efficient space through organization of all retail product in Hoback Warehouse.
• Resolve all shipping/fulfillment discrepancies
• Organize and label backstock product to ensure seamless flow on to the sales floor
• Enter retail orders and maintain weekly/monthly sales reporting for Retail team.
• Process RTV’s (return to vendors), damages & transfers
• Working with JHMR retail warehouse in managing restock and bike inventory
• Oversee warranties & special orders
• Distributing re-orders and stocking to appropriate departments within Hoback Sports
• Manage employee purchase programs for Hoback Sports and Bike LOB (line of business).
• Work with JHMR accounting department to ensure timely payment of all retail invoices
• Lead physical inventory process and inventory reconciliation
• Retail price management based on market and historical data
• Responsible for RTP data entry and purchase order management for buyer
• Assist Buyer with the inventory management of all retail products and classifications through RTP.
• Complete order placement, acknowledgement, RTP entry, receiving and payment process, in coordination with Buyer

Other Functions:

• Support retail events in store and throughout community.
• Assist with seasonal store set up.
• Work as retail staff as needed.

Job Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Overall knowledge of retail operations, preferably outdoor industry.
• Strong analytical capability to understand historical data and other consumer trends.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with stakeholders from other facets of the business.
• Strong written and oral communication proficiency.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Retail Next Software proficiency preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

• This position operates in predominantly business hours, must be available to work weekends, and holidays.
• Schedules and hours may fluctuate depending on business need and season.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This job operates primarily in a warehouse, office, and retail shop setting. Most work is completed in an indoor environment. Occasional work in an outdoor environment, which may cause exposure to extreme temperatures and varying weather.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

• Standing on feet for long periods of time
• Must be able to perform medium levels of physical work including the ability to kneel, crouch, bend, stoop, balance, crawl, reach, push, pull, grasp, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Strong visual acuity to prepare figures and analyze data
• Ability to work in small, confined spaces for short periods of time.
• Ability to drive a car in varying road conditions.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED diploma or equivalent number of years of experience.
• Minimum 1 year of retail or warehouse experience or minimum 2 years previous experience in a ski and/or bike shop

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous warehouse management experience.
