PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Handles incoming sales activities at service center as well as supporting the outside sales effort through various functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Services customer orders at service center and phone calls.

Coordination of product delivery with the ability to operate a forklift.

Provides value-added turf products, services, and recommendations to patrons and prospects.

Processes orders and completes billing process.

Assists in the procurement of products and inventory management processes for the facility.

Supports outside sales personnel through various administrative functions such as invoice follow up calls and pulling SDS information.

Provides customer service by following up on customer complaints, and seeks a reasonable “win/win” resolution.

Develops job based skills and knowledge as defined by Turf Products Manager.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Follows Conserv FS’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires an associate degree in horticulture, marketing, or other business-related discipline, or the equivalent thereof with a knowledge of turf ornamentals.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record and have the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.

Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered “normal.”

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Conserv FS’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

The ideal Turf Sales Associate will be excellent at:

• Knowledge of all Conserv FS products, services, policies and business practices.
• Knowledge of competitive products, services, and pricing practices
• Administrative skills such as time management and organization.
• System tools including but not limited to AgVance and MS Office software products.
• Phone skills and customer service
• Problem solving techniques
• Negotiation skills, handling price objections, and up-selling techniques

The ideal Turf Sales Associate will also have a passion for serving customers and for the products and services provided by Conserv FS.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
