Could this be you?

The Scribe is responsible for preparing charts and sending referrals and work at the Provider's direction to provide quality healthcare for the home bound or home limited patient.

How you can make a difference:

  • Send referrals at the direction of the Provider and update office staff on follow-ups
  • Prepare charts to expedite the Provider's ability to see patients
  • Provide support to designated provider in all patient care areas
  • Manage required signature documents
  • Process all completed documents (including outgoing faxes)
  • Communicate and collaborate with other staff to assure all work is completed
  • Keep workspace within HIPPA compliance.
  • Check EHR email regularly (approximately every 2 hours). Respond to requests in a timely manner

  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to forge meaningful relationships across patients, staff, and physicians
  • A keen sense of personal accountability and a commitment to delivering individual and team results
  • Experience performing under pressure with a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a commitment to doing what you say you will do
  • Highly relationship oriented and ability to serve complex patient populations
  • A passion for mentoring others and fostering teamwork with a desire to drive outcomes
  • Humility and a low ego; an ability to gain trust through effective communication and doing what you say you will do

Experience to drive change:

  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting or a bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Comfort with technology including the Microsoft suite of products
  • Prior experience using electronic health record
