KIT Custom HomeBuilders is now hiring for a full-time Security Guard: at our Production Facility in Caldwell, Idaho. This position is scheduled to work Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. plus any required evening or Saturday overtime. Hourly wage starts from $21.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Job Summary:: Responsible for security of buildings and grounds during the daytime work shift as well as detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, theft or other criminal behavior.

Duties::

• Patrol, inspect, and monitor activities on the company’s premises consistently to discourage criminal activity and ensure the environment is safe and secure.

• Respond to alarms/emergencies/suspicious activities in a timely manner.

• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing/enforcing violators of policies.

• Use surveillance cameras to watch for any disruptions or unlawful activities.

• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred.

• Secure all exits, doors, windows, and gates at the end of shift.

• Use provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner.

• Assist with physical safety of employees or visitors including CPR or first aid when needed.

Requirements & Skills::

• Previous experience and detailed knowledge of security requirements and processes. Preference given to military or police background.

• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

• Ability to operate security systems and emergency equipment.

• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.

• Ability to solve problems as they arise. Experience in reacting appropriately in stressful situations and keeping mental alertness and attention to detail high, no matter the circumstances.

• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service as needed. Uniform allowance provided.

• Ability to lift/move materials up to 50 lbs. on a limited basis. Must also be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. The work environment will be primarily outdoors exposed to year-round weather conditions.

• Regular attendance is critical. Must be available to consistently work the required shift without tardiness, interruption, or early departure. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., as well as any required Saturday or evening overtime.

• Must be able to pass drug screening, driving record check, and background check. Must be 18 or older.
