Our firm is seeking an experienced senior attorney who is adept at handling a large caseload and familiar with all aspects of the trial process, particularly drafting pleadings, motions, notices, and working toward a resolution. Compensation:$150,000 - $180,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Stay updated on changing applicable laws and statutes on the local, state, and federal levels
- Anticipate, prepare for, and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration on behalf of clients
- Supervise and mentor lower level attorneys in proper conflict resolution techniques
- Get appropriate documents prepared, such as motions, pleadings, notices, and discovery requests and responses
- Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Anticipate, prepare for, and attend trials on behalf of clients charged with felonies, and misdemeanors
- Counsel clients regarding the status of their cases, their next actions, and updates regarding their cases
- Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
- 5 years of required experience as a senior associate in the legal field
- Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
- Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations
- Bachelor’s degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree)
- Previous experience advocating for clients in criminal trials, felonies and misdemeanors
