Goals & Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute to sourcing strategy with optimal fill rate, while balancing Cash & Cost.
- Ownership to the savings, Cash & Inventory projects for the current year and the pipeline for the next 2 years
- Be the GCL for atleast 2 categories, while guiding the team of Commodity Managers, Category Leaders and Analysts
- Drive the Consignment, Part Development & Long Term Supply Agreements with suppliers
- NPI projects being launched per budget and in a timely manner, with Sourcing-design recommendations.
- Drive Deal Review process in awarding business to suppliers
- Conduct supplier QBRs and Supplier Scorecard reviews in a timely manner.
- Achieve simplification / SKU rationalization strategies for the year
- Reward top performing suppliers based on the score cards and drive supplier consolidation.
- Drive the Cost drivers / cost modeling, negotiation planning and commodity strategy mind set in all levels of the procurement organization
- Mentor and coach Purchasing & Planning teams
Experience & Skills Needed:
- Excellent understanding of ATK Seven Step Sourcing Process (or similar processes) and its elements like Spend Trees, Savings hypothesis development, Total Cost Of Ownership, Cost Model, Sourcing strategy development, Industry analysis, Commodity Indices, 3-5 year plan, Supplier stratification & strategy deployment.
- Atleast 10+ years of experience in sourcing of multiple categories, with thorough understanding of Total Cost of Ownership,
- Strong execution focus in implementing the changes using the team. Supplier stratification and execution on Grow, Maintain and Exit suppliers
- Manage global teams, across different continents. Good Understanding of Make Vs Buy analysis
- Expert level understanding of manufacturing processes of at least 2-3 of the categories under purview
- Good understanding of cost drivers, cost models and arbitrage opportunities
- Expert at fact-based negotiations, using cost models, supplier scorecards, clean sheet approach and commodity indices.
- Previous experience with Commodity / category workouts, to develop healthy pipeline of projects over 3 years
- Situational Leadership Style with a strong sense of urgency, ‘freedom within a framework’ approach and drive for results attitude

Compensation
The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is 100,000-130,000.
