This position is responsible for sourcing Physician candidates for Optum.
Accountabilities include effectively sourcing and screening candidates, acting as a consultant to recruiters and Hiring Managers, providing detailed assessments on market competitors and talent supply, and developing talent robust talent pipelines. This role is accountable for managing interactions with candidates in accordance with employment law and in a manner that fosters transparency, simplicity and respect.
Primary Responsibilities:
- As a functional expert, provide strategic input on the where and how to find functional talent (best sourcing channels and methods), including labor market consultation, competitive intelligence, and how to sell the Optum opportunity to passive Physician talent
- Share market research and trends in candidate flow, market reactions and awareness to local/national branding
- Accountable for the on-going cultivation and evaluation of new candidate sourcing channels and methods
- Leverage and maximize use of all applicable Physician recruitment tools and resources to attract passive talent
- Employ candidate relationship management strategies using CRM software
- Ensure all leads and contacts are captured in the system
- Lead sourcing strategy throughout the requisition life-cycle
- Coordinate activities, time commitments/availability based on gated sourcing process and leadership input on prioritization of work
- Drive effective partnerships with business leaders and Recruitment partners
- Interview and evaluate candidates using consistent templates and processes, including phone and digital interviews, leveraging behavior-based interview and assessment techniques
- Demonstrate best practices, troubleshoot with team members and serve as a mentor / coach on sourcing and recruitment initiatives
- Demonstrate diversity awareness and use sourcing techniques that reach diverse populations
- Actively champion diversity recruitment strategies
- Demonstrate and apply knowledge of recruitment related employment laws
- Actively participate in Talent Acquisition projects
- Projects could include large scale process improvement initiatives, social media, participation in user councils and/or in diversity events
- Demonstrate fluency with the Optum businesses and our Employer Value Proposition
- Accountable to track sourcing activities and results
- Responsible for monthly review of all performance metrics to include analysis of transactional and proactive pipelining efforts

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience with recruiting and/or sourcing Physicians
- Demonstrated proficiency in talent marketing/sourcing techniques including lead generation, internet, cold calling, and interactive strategies

- PHR, SPHR, CPC certifications
- ATS Taleo experience

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $72,800 to $129,900.
