HybridRaytheon Intelligent and Space’s CTS Mission Logistics team is looking for a Senior Technical Support Engineer to provide Patriot U.S. Government Integrated Fires Mission Support (IFMC-GSE) Integrated Diagnostics Support Systems (IDSS) field product support, training, documentation, research, Modification Work Orders / Engineering Change Proposals, and training documentation development.
- Position is Hybrid, with onsite support Huntsville, Alabama as needed.
- Routine CONUS travel and occasional OCONUS travel as needed by the program operational needs.
- Potential travel could be up to 75%.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with IFMC-GSE manager as needed and discuss work, travel planning, U.S. and FMS customer as needed.
- Communicate with Raytheon key team members and update on customer needs and support requests to ensure proper resources are provided for mission success.
- Maintain scheduled organizational training as needed or requested.
- Perform Customer assigned actions or research as requested and record action items relating to IDSS working group meetings in support of the IDSS program and attend the Patriot Quarterly Maintenance reviews (QMR), and Department of the Army Modification Work Order DAMWOs. This includes support of US Government and FMS nation members.
- Travel to customer sites and have in-depth discussion and analysis of customer support/training needs.
- Provides support assistance for fielding of Computer Aided Procedures (CAPS), and Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) to the Patriot ADA units to include hardware and software update, documentation, and training.
- Provide Patriot communications support to include upgrade of equipment and remedial training and support of Patriot ADA Battalions networked communications exercises.
- Provide support for Patriot system upgrades, Modification Work Orders (MWO), Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) field modifications and procedural documentation as needed.
- Work with the security organization and adhere to policies and procedures which guide your activities on and off-site.
Experience and Skills:
- In-depth knowledge with the Patriot Missile System components, operation, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiar with Maintenance Control System (MCS) diagnostics in both the Patriot Engagement Control Station and the Information Coordination Central.
- Familiar with the Patriot Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) to include Computer Aided Procedures at both Organizational Maintenance and Intermediate Maintenance level.
- Understanding of Property management to include accountability, maintainability, and inventory.
- Familiar with the Interactive Authoring and Display Software (IADS) to view Patriot Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMS).
- Familiar with Patriot communications systems and sub-components etc. networking, crypto and radio equipment.
- Familiar with Remote Maintenance Support System (RMSS) to include setup configuration, troubleshooting and repair.
- Working knowledge of computer configuration and the Microsoft Windows operating system to include, understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts such as IPV4/IPV6, subnetting and the OSI model and Windows Security. Also, to include operating system patch updates and virus definitions.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of organization and individual contributors on the program team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite with the aptitude to employ other customer-specific, automated programs, databases, and technology-based capabilities.
- Adapt well to change and thrive in an atmosphere that requires trust, teamwork, initiative, creativity, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills
- Qualified Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent.
- Prior field experience closely supporting customer operations and activities.
- Prior instructor experience (classroom lecture, guided discussion, hands-on coaching and mentoring, formal assessments and evaluations, individualized remediation); excellent preference for those candidates with a formal customer Instructor Certification etc. “Methods of Instructions (MOI)” or equivalent U.S. military certifications.
- Familiar with Windows Operating system security settings and configuration.
Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship required, as the applicant must have an Active U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance, day one of employment.
Education
Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree with demonstrated operational experience for educational requirement, including related Military training / certifications.
Special Work Circumstances
- Ability to safely lift and carry 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
