We seek an experienced accounting professional to join our team as a staff accountant.
This job is a full-time position at our Jeffersonville, IN, office. You do not need to be a CPA to apply, but you should have an appropriate accounting background working with Quickbooks. It is not an entry-level position; any candidate must demonstrate relevant experience to be considered.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of Quickbooks Online
- Understanding and processing payroll (we currently use ADP)
- Entering bills into QBO, reviewing them twice a month with CEO for approval to pay
- Entering invoices from Account Services and Business Development teams into QBO
- Sending Invoices to clients, including following up for payment as needed
- Check postal mail for bills and checks
- Deposit checks in the bank account and track payments accordingly in QBO
- Setting up recurring transactions, including ACH payments from clients
- Reconciling checking account and credit card accounts monthly
- Match expenses on Credit Cards per client in QBO
- Paying any necessary taxes as directed by our Accounting Firm (i.e., Quarterly payroll taxes)
- Assisting with onboarding new employees through HR Software (Zenefits)
- Acting as in-house HR contact
- Addressing any disputes with bank or credit card company as needed
- Filing necessary tax or HR paperwork to remain compliant (Accounting Firm handles annual tax returns)
- Assisting with the creation of standard reports for leadership review
- Finding ways to reduce unnecessary costs and improve profitability
- Evaluating profitability per service line using class/tags in QBO
- Reviewing and interpreting reports with the CEO (We use FathomHQ for advanced reporting)
- Assist with creating annual budgets for various departments
- Track and process sales bonuses and referral partner payouts

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
