Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating structural steel components used in construction projects. The Structural Welder must be proficient in interpreting blueprints and schematics and be able to follow welding procedures to ensure the structural integrity of the components. The ideal candidate must also possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding diagrams

• Use welding techniques to fabricate and weld structural steel components

• Select and prepare welding equipment, tools, and materials

• Perform welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW

• Inspect welded surfaces and structures to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications

• Operate hand and power tools to shape and fit metal parts as required

• Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in proper working condition

• Follow all safety procedures and regulations

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

• Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to welding activities

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural welding

• Certified welder preferred

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding diagrams

• Proficient in welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW

• Familiarity with welding equipment, tools, and materials

• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication skills

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in confined spaces or at heights as required
