Job Title: Stunt Performer-Western Experience
Reports To: Creative Director, Stunt Coordinator, OTE Management, and Rail Events Productions (REP) Management
Type of position: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Employee Classification: Seasonal
Compensation: $17 - $20
Job Summary: Stunt Performers will be various characters throughout the Western Experience event. Stunt Performers will be working under a specific script yet will be required at times to improvise during the show within their character. Stunt Performers will also be working in an environment where direct interaction with audience members of all ages will be essential to achieve the desired feel of the show. In conjunction with dialogue and audience interaction, stunt performers will be required to perform various stunts throughout the Western Experience Event. These positions will require training with the stunt coordinator in order to safely perform these stunts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Memorization and performance of scripted scenes while playing various characters.
Learn staging, fight choreography, and stunts.
Receive new dialogue and memorize in a timely manner.
Be present at all stunt and acting rehearsals.
Ability to work independently with self-motivation and attention to details
Maintain a safe, welcoming, positive, and inclusive working environment and advises management with related concerns.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Skill and Work Experience Requirements:
Ability to work up to long days with prolonged standing
Prior stunt or fight choreography experience
Prior work in theme park events and non-traditional performance environments
Ability to be flexible and adaptive to an everchanging environment.
Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and late hours as production schedule may dictate
Commitment to working under shared leadership and in cross-functional teams
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
Work Environment:
Standing, walking, and running in locations with unbalanced footing.
Varying temperatures and weather conditions; both indoor and outdoor.
Fast paced and exciting environment.
Evening and Weekend work
