ICF's Innovation Services Team is seeking a motivated and creative individual to join us as a temporary AI Innovation Associate for the summer. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain hands-on experience in the fields of artificial intelligence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovative technology development in a business context. As an AI Innovation Associate, you will have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to meaningful projects that explore how generative artificial intelligence tools and services help colleagues across a broad set of use cases at ICF.
Your role as AI Innovation Associate will be focused on the following tasks:
- Collaborating with a cross-functional interdisciplinary team to explore generative artificial intelligence tools and services, supporting a wide range of use cases across ICF.
- Assisting in the design, development, and user testing of AI-driven solutions, ensuring their alignment with client needs and project objectives.
- Supporting the deployment, training, and communication of AI tools and services to internal and external stakeholders, addressing technical troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Contributing to the development of case studies that showcase the value and impact of AI-driven solutions for clients and projects.
- Engaging in focused, incremental work to validate the value of these new tools and services, iteratively refining and enhancing them based on feedback and performance metrics.
Additional tasks may include:
- Participating in user testing sessions, gathering and analyzing feedback to improve AI-driven solutions and enhance user experience.
- Creating and managing communication plans to promote awareness and understanding of AI-driven solutions among stakeholders, including presentations, newsletters, and other communication materials.
- Conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions to provide a competitive edge for ICF and its clients.
- Assisting in the identification and evaluation of potential AI technologies, platforms, and partners that can be leveraged to enhance ICF's offerings.
- Supporting the development of project proposals and presentations that highlight the benefits of AI-driven solutions to potential clients and partners.
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of AI-driven solutions, identifying areas for improvement and proposing enhancements to optimize their impact.
- Collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts to ensure AI-driven solutions are informed by the latest research, trends, and best practices.
- Participating in regular project meetings, providing updates on progress, and collaborating with team members to address challenges and share best practices.
- Developing and delivering training programs and workshops to help internal and external stakeholders effectively use and adopt AI tools and services.
- Supporting the creation of user guides, documentation, and related materials to facilitate the smooth implementation of AI tools and services.
Education and Experience Requirements:

Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate program in computer science, business, design, technology, or related fields
Desired Skills, Aptitudes, and Interests:

Previous experience with or coursework in artificial intelligence

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools and remote work environments

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and ambiguous environment

Eagerness to learn and adapt to new subject matters and challenges, particularly in the areas of interdisciplinary collaboration, user experience and software technology design, and generative artificial intelligence systems.
