BGS – Government Training Engineering (GTE) is looking for multiple (3) Mid-Level Systems Engineers to join the Requirements and Integration team in Berkeley, MO . As part of this team, these individuals would primarily be assigned to the T-7 Red Hawk program as part of the engineering, manufacturing, and development (EMD) phase.

The persons filling this role will excel in a challenging, complex and fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of tasks relative to the systems engineering, integration, and test (SEIT) backlog. This includes, but is not limited to: verification of requirements through the development and application of acceptance test procedures; integration of complex hardware and software components into an integrated system; decomposition of a statement of work (SoW) into verifiable product requirements; and assisting other disciplines with their engineering activities.

They will be responsible for the technical integrity, performance, and reliability of the most sophisticated training devices that Boeing designs and builds. Additional duties will be in support of concept development with respect to future derivative opportunities for maintenance, aircrew, and ground training devices. They will also be very much positioned as a future leader for multiple up-coming program growth opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
Resolves cross-functional technical issues
Utilize a system of systems mindset
Understand and implement the “Systems V” in day-to-day activities
Meet commitments
Understand, support, and apply agile principles, practices, and processes
Listen and support teams in problem identification, root cause analysis, and decision making
Ability to collaboratively work with teammates

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
2+ years’ experience within an engineering discipline

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) experience
Ability to clearly communicate at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels.

Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary Pay Range: $97,750- $132,250
