Tuffy Tire is proud to join the Mavis Discount Tire family. Mavis is a leader in the tire and automotive repair service field and is pleased to join the Portage, MI area. We're looking for a full-time Class “A” Automotive Mechanic to join our Team at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service and tire sales centers.

WHAT IS THIS GREAT CAREER OPPORTUNITY?

As a Class “A” Automotive Mechanic, you're the backbone of our business. As Mavis's leaders in undercar repairs, our Class “A” Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. Mavis's Class “A” Mechanics perform a wide variety of under-car repairs, including HVAC, Engine Performance, Engine, Electrical, Suspension, Brakes, Struts, and Shocks. Class “A” Mechanics are also responsible for completing state-mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires. In addition to providing high-quality service, Class “A” Mechanics must perform all vehicle repairs and maintenance efficiently.

To be eligible for the Class “A” Mechanic position you must:

• be at least 18 years of age;
• be legally authorized to work in the United States;
• possess at least five (5) years of automotive experience working as a Class “A” Mechanic;
• has at least five (5) years of experience inspecting, diagnosing and repairing vehicles; and,
• be able to work 5 days each week.
