YOUR ROLE
The Mentor-Tutor Coach ensures the effective execution of the Mentor-Tutor Program while supervising the work of the Mentor-Tutors. The Mentor-Tutor Coach is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Mentor-Tutor Program, including the coordination of supplies, collaborating with mentors to personalize programming, and supervising the execution of the program. The Mentor-Tutor Coach will track both student and mentor progress throughout the summer, providing feedback and ongoing coaching for Mentor-Tutors to ensure their students receive the strongest level of support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend and actively participate in all relevant training sessions
- Develop and uphold accountability systems to ensure Mentor-Tutors carry out interventions with fidelity.
- Maintain schedules and groups for Mentor-Tutor Members, adjusting as necessary
- Support and guide Mentor-Tutors as they implement interventions and activities
- Maintain a positive attitude, addressing student issues in an appropriate, professional manner
- Build and maintain a working relationship with site directors
- Provide scheduling support and fidelity
- Administer pre and post-assessments on sites as necessary
- Collaborate with other project team members in the SummerCollab network throughout the fall to devise action steps and discuss progress
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
SummerCollab seeks positive, proactive problem solvers who have the desire and passion to help students reach their greatest potential. The position requires individuals who are flexible and adaptive to a changing environment, and are interested in managing a team. The ideal candidate must have a background in providing targeted interventions to individuals and small groups of students, and demonstrate strong leadership abilities. Candidates should have at least one year of teaching experience, be detail-oriented and demonstrate extensive knowledge of RTI or literacy intervention. He/she must be able to manage a team, providing clear expectations and support to all team members.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
This is a part-time position. Mentor-Tutor Coaches work up to 15 hours per week at an hourly rate of $22 per hour at our locations throughout New Castle County. Any employment offers are contingent upon satisfactory completion of required background checks.
